Traditional metal cathodes such as NMC, LFP, and NCA are manufactured predominantly in China using materials from countries including China, Democratic Republic of Congo, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Russia. Shifting to a polymer cathode moves the origin of cathode supply and manufacturing to the United States.
